Submerged.

Just before I went to france I found my dads old underwater camera. It is about 30 years old so I wasn't really expecting it to work. To my surprise it worked a treat and here are the developed photos... next time I think I might try black and white film see how that looks! Anyway here are some of the photos we took on holiday with it:

These next three were taken in a lake, hence they look more cloudy, I kind of prefer the haziness though.

Hope you like.

Dungarees.

A couple of weeks ago me and some friends went on a lovely holiday to France. By complete coincidence we all had dungarees with us, one long, one dress and one shorts, so it was quite a fun mix. So we took some fun photos...

Thanks to Libby and Isabelle for modeling your dungers with me...and of course for all the fun.

Hope you like.

Soul Surfer.

So on the last week of term my friend and I made this sweet den in an empty dorm. We made like a mattress fortress and got loads of popcorn and crisps and stuff and had a feast whilst watching Soul Surfer. I was expecting just another nice happy feel good american movie, little did I know it would completely change my perspective on life!
Anna-Sofia Robb stars as the main character, playing Bethany Hamilton (who is the actual person whom the story is based on.) Without giving away the entire movie I will give a brief outline. Basically it is set in Hawaii and Bethany and her best friends are professional surfers, and whilst training for a competition Bethany's arm gets bitten off by a shark (true story as well!). Anyway it is about how she has the strength and will power to carry on living life after this horrible thing and also to help others. Seriously, WATCH IT. You will not regret it.
I loved it so much that the other day I got my friend to come surfing with me...so we made the hour trip to the sea and taught our selves to surf!!

This is Anna-Sofia with Bethany Hamilton (the girl she plays in the film).

Hope you like.

One mans trash is another mans treasure.

So yesterday was a surprisingly nice day in Yorkshire so my friend and I decided to go to our local village car boot sale. It was quite fun...we sold all our random old stuff, I always find it weird what people buy from you but as  they say, One mans trash is another mans treasure! We took so much stuff...it felt like we sold barely anything but we did in fact make £20 each. So we felt like it was time well spent at the end.

Anyway I took some photos...

 Above was our store.

So there you go.

Hope you like.

My Room.

I love my room so much. I have had it my whole life. My mum constantly feels guilty because my only windows are on the roof, but I reassure her on a regular basis that I don't mind and that I don't suffer from some sort of problem due to lack of sun light.
The coolest thing is that my bed is like in the sky as  I like to say. It can be a bit of  a faf getting up and down when your super tired but its so totally worth it! I change the lay out of my room regularly...I get bored really easily haha. Anyway here are so photos...

So there you go...my room!

Hope you like.

Baked Bean Chandelier.

I have recently finished my DT AS course work. I do product design and I designed and made a chandelier from old Heinz Baked Beanz cans. The main specification of the product was to be made from recycled products. I thought food packaging would be cool to work with. This entire thing took me about 8 months from the designs to the finished product.
Now I am moving on to A2 and am currently deciding what to design...so if anyone has some crazy ideas please let me know!

Any way here you go...

Below is all my sketching of how I came to the final design...

And here is the final product...

So there you go...

hope you like!

Summer Sun.

I am aware that it has be far too long since my last post...I have been contemplating writing something for a while but nothing of interest to anyone came to me. I have come to the conclusion that some of the photos I have taken in the past few months may in fact be worthy of a post.
The photos below were taken the other day in the most beautiful weather we have had all year. This is what we tend to do at school these days, exams finished (YESSSS!) so we just chill out in the sun. Life is good.

Below is a photo I took at exhibition, which is like a massive weekend at school like a speech day but like longer, anyway they had a balloon race for charity and this was them being released it was so cool to watch haha.

So there you go...short and sweet. But I am anticipating much more fun stuff to come hopefully in the near future, when perhaps my life will become a little more exciting.
